2011 is quickly coming to a close and I wanted to share two important items before we close out the year. On Nov 4, 2011, Proyecto Pastoral held its 25th Anniversary “Looking Back…Moving Forward” Annual Fundraiser Dinner and recognized several community leaders and volunteer partners for their contributions. CHCCLI was recognized for their partnership with Proyecto Pastoral in collecting thousands of toys for the children of the Boyle Heights community since 2006. The night included a live musical performance by several of the Proyecto Pastoral children enrolled in the IMPACTO afterschool music program. I along with several board members was honored to attend the dinner and accept the award on behalf of CHCCLI. Click here to view event pictures.
CHCCLI is committed to leadership and leadership includes being responsible community members. With that goal in mind, please make sure to join us on Dec 7th for the annual Holiday Celebration and Toy Drive. CHCCLI will be celebrating its 2011 accomplishments as well as continuing our commitment to collect toys for our community partners, Proyecto Pastoral and White Memorial Medical Center.
