Alex Moreno Areyan
is the author of the just-released book: Mexican Americans in Los Angeles. Alex will discuss his book chronicling the presence and contributions of Mexican Americans who have helped shape the history of Los Angeles over the past one hundred years.
Mr. Areyan's first book, Mexican Americans in Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach (Arcadia 2007) was the first book published documenting the history of these communities which had also been overlooked by conventional historians for over one hundred years.
