Baord Member - Rose Ann Djelmane
Djelmane is responsible for supporting housing counseling agencies participating in Bank of America’s Connect to Own™ Program, a fee for service Counseling Services Agreement. She also manages the New York Homebuyer Education Program, an unbranded program created as a result of an agreement with the Office of the Attorney General.
Previously Djelmane was a Senior Vice President, National Multicultural Sales Support, for Countrywide Home Loans, Inc. a subsidiary of Countrywide Financial Corporation, a diversified financial services provider. In this position, Djelmane managed Countrywide’s National Multicultural Sales Support Division and House America Department, which were created to support the company’s commitment to serve historically underserved markets through specialized loan programs, community outreach and a nationwide home buyer counseling center. She was responsible for implementing community development strategies to increase national exposure of affordable lending programs and consumer education services.
Djelmane has more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage and financial industries. Her expertise includes areas of compliance, product leadership, training, consumer education and financial management. Prior to working at Bank of America and Countrywide, she held management positions at Experian, Home Savings of America and First Interstate Bank. She currently serves on the NeighborWorks Center for Homeownership Education and Counseling (NCHEC) Advisory Board and is President of the California Hispanic Corporate Council Leadership Institute, a nonprofit professional membership organization and is a board member of Self Help Graphics, a nonprofit organization focused on cultivating and supporting Latino art and artists.
Djelmane graduated from the University of Southern California, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In addition, she has received professional training in Exploration in Advanced Leadership, as well as certifications from the Institute for Applied Management and Law, Inc., The Change Cycle and ABA National Compliance School.
